How To Share the iPRO Property iCal with 3rd Parties

iCals are used to connect the availability calendars between I-pro and a external channel manger that is not integrated into iPro.

As well as importing an external ical into iPro, it is possible to export a ical into a channel manager to upload the availability calendars.

Steps to Export iCal Data:

1. Navigate to the Property Node in Umbraco:

   • Log in to iPRO account, navigate to 'Property Listing'
   • Find the property
   • Click the 'Edit' button

2. Access the Distribution Tab:

   • Click on the “Distribution” tab within the property node.

3. Copy the iCal URL:

   • Choose which type of iCal you wish to share
     • 'Export Public iCal Calendar'
     • 'Export iPRO iCal Calendar'
     • 'Export Private iCal Calendar'
   • Right-click the link and select "Copy Link Address".

4. Share the iCal URL:

   • Paste the copied URL into an email and send it to the property owner or partner.
   • The owner or partner can then subscribe to this calendar URL, ensuring their availability is synchronised with iPRO.

How does iPRO interpret dates on the iCal?

iPRO will always provide the exact dates in the description so it is clear to the external party, however we will insert the calendar event based on the CHECK IN and CHECK OUT dates

What are the types of  iCals, how are they different?

Public iCal Calendar

This calendar will share all dates that are not available, including bookings imported via additional iCal links.

• Property Name & Booking ID: Shared publicly.
• Calendar Status: Marked as 'Busy'.

Public iPRO iCal Calendar

This calendar will only share bookings and blockouts generated by iPRO, ensuring there is no confusion when importing multiple calendars.

• Property Name & Booking ID: Shared publicly.
• Calendar Status: Marked as 'Busy'.

Private iCal Calendar

This calendar can be shared with the owner or housekeepers as it will contain important guest information.

Information Shared:

• Booked Date

• Adults

• Children

• Infants

• Guest Name

• Mobile

• Housekeeper Notes

• Property Name & Booking ID: Shared publicly.

• Calendar Status: Marked as 'Busy'.
