iPRO > Channel manager > Sales channels
To sync a new property to the channel manager you do so via the Channel manager Dashboard
This dashboard will become a day to day task for you to check for any sync errors. But this is also where you connect a property in iPRO to the iPRO Channel manager.
1. Connected properties
Properties with a green tick in the status column show that the property is connected to the channel manager and there are no sync errors or minimum content requirements not being met
When a property is connected there are several actions buttons related to manually syncing data to the channel manager
From left to right these buttons do the following:
1. Property details sync: This sync all the property details information. Images, description, location, attributes. All data apart from Rates, Discounts & Availability.
2. Push & Pull availability: This will push the iPRO availability to the channel manager as well as pull availability from the sales channels.
3. Pull Availability: This will pull availability from the sales channels.
4. Push Availability: This will push availability from iPRO to channel manager
5. Sync Rates: This will push rates and discounts (if applicable) to the channel manager.
6. Disconnect: This will turn off the connection for this property between iPRO and the channel manager.
NOTE: This does not deactivate any listings at sales channels.
2. Properties Not connected
Properties that have the a yellow question mark are currently not connected to the channel manager. You can attempt to connect them via the red toggle on the left hand side:
If the message is "Rentals United Content node is not found". This means the Channel manager node is either
- Not published
- Does not exist
Click on the edit button to navigate to that property in the CMS:
If the Rentals United Node exists but is unpublished:
- Remove any ID's if this property not been connected to the channel manager historically. (If this property was created by copying/duplicating another iPRO property there will be an ID displayed that will need to be removed)
- Turn off the "Enabled" switch
- Save and publish:
If the Rentals United Node does not exist:
- Right click on channels
- Click Create
- Type "Channel manager"
- Select the document type "Content: Rentals United"
- Click create
- Then select the option in the "account" drop down
- Save and publish
This will update the message on the iPRO channel manager dashboard to "Property Disabled"
3. Properties with the "disabled" message and the yellow question mark
Pressing the red toggle button on the left hand side will attempt to connect these properties to the channel manager.
If the system is unable to do so, it will detail why in a red error message. This will allow you to amend the property data and try again.
This will likely be due to the minimum rate requirement not being met which you can find more information on in the next page, linked below.
