Sales Channel Booking Financials Explained
iPRO will automatically apply a 'Host Fee' where applicable which is the cost of receiving the booking from that sales channels. This is to ensure that the price paid by the guest matches the emails sent via iPRO and that the owner is paid the correct amount based on your agreed commissions.
Airbnb: Let's take a real life example
Booking data received by Airbnb
PropertyID: 3374269 (this is linked to the correct property in iPRO)

Price breakdown: 4200.00GBP stay 60.00GBP fees - 600.30GBP Airbnb fee
Commission: 600.30GBP
GuestPaid: £4,200 (Airbnb controls the payments so each booking is marked as paid in full)
Guests: 4 adults, 3 children, 0 infants
Rate name: Standard
Included fees: MANAGEMENT_FEE: 60.00
Cancellation Policy: super_strict_60
There is no credit card info.
How iPRO translates that data
Rental Amount: £3,383 (the same price as if they booked direct)
Holiday Extras: £817 (600.30 (Host Fee) + 60 (Service Fee) + 156.70 (OTA Markup))
Total: £4,200 (The same amount the guest has paid on Airbnb)
Holiday Extras:
Host Fee: £600.30 - This is provided by Airbnb and is the fee they charge you for securing the booking
Service Fee: £60 - This is your mandatory fee added to every booking, please note this is just an example you may have no fees or additional fees with different rates
OTA Markup: £156.70 - This is an iPRO automation to separate any additional income that was earned due to the uplift in price from iPRO to Sales Channel.
How much does my owner get paid for this booking?
The owner will be paid exactly the same as if they had book direct, meaning the additional £156.70 will be classified as an additional income and your commission or the owners net amount is calculated based on the 'Rental Amount' only. With this configured, the OTA uplift is separated so that your income is protected, entirely.
That's the great thing about the unique 'iPRO OTA Markup' feature!
