If a guest wants to change dates for a booking made at the Sales channel that has been pushed into IPro via Rentals United, those dates should be changed at the sales channel. Rentals United will then send this change to IPro where the system will update the IPro booking that has that Rentals United Reservation ID.
1. Booking is made at the sales channel and comes into IPro.
The information in the channel information box is what IPro will look for when Rentals United sends IPro changes in dates. What booking do I need to change dates for? Sees this information and updates that booking accordingly.
2. Changing the dates at the sales channel
There will be a log recorded in the activity tab against IPro Admin stating this change has occurred. Informing you that any change is price is NOT automatically updated and to action this change manually:
"The booking has been modified at the sales channel. If the dates were modified iPro has been automatically updated. However we have not updated the price or number of guests, if this has been modified please update the iPro booking manually as required.The following items have been modified at the sales channel: Dates: (2024-01-20 to 2024-01-27) CHANGED to (2024-02-02 to 2024-02-09)"
Important things to note:
1. IPro only receives booking information, we do not send and cannot update bookings at the sales channel. Cancelling a sales channel booking in IPro does not cancel the booking at the sales channel. Changing dates in IPro does not change the dates of the booking at the sales channel. We receive booking data only, we do not push.
2. Any change in price from date changes or number of guests at sales channel does not update IPro automatically, this is intentional. Changes in pricing need to be done so manually and accordingly.
