Overview

This release guide documents the changes made to the iPro CRM Software during the first release of 2023

Reminder: All clients have the ability to view all software changes on their staging site (IPROSTAGE), prior to deployment on the live site.

i.e. clientdomain(com).iprostage.com

(com) is the extension of domain .co.uk, .net, .info, etc...

Deployment Process

Deployment of the updated software is by client request raising a ticket with the support desk or via an email to support@ipro-software.com.

Deployment will be scheduled within an agreed time window. If you wish to change the time which has been agreed, please contact the support desk to arrange a suitable alternative. ,

Enhancements

API

  • Documentation for the API is now available in a new format
  • The Property Search Lite API (wiki) has been updated to fully support flexible arrivals.  Use the flexibleNights parameter with version=2.0 to get results for multiple days before and after the date being searched for [5963]

Alerts

Emails

  • In a contact record there is now an option to add the address in the Email (alt 1) box as a cc to all emails sent to the contact [4718]
  • A company name can now be included in the email address of travel agents.  If a name is specified it will appear in the From field of email that they send, so the recipient can see the company name and not just the email address.  You can edit your own account by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner and clicking My Profile.  Super users can click the users link to view and update any user on the system.  In the email field instead of just entering an email address enter it as "Company Name <me@example.com>" [5122]
  • A new booking token is available {source}, which will contain the booking source [6099]

Mass Marketing Emails [4338]

  • A new feature has been added that allows emails to be sent to multiple users at the same time.  This can be used in a variety of ways, but is expected to be most useful for email marketing.
  • The feature can be accessed either by selecting Mass Email from the Compose button on the main Email page or by going to the Marketing report.  The feature is on the Contacts tab of the Marketing report.
  • To send a mass email you need to select which contacts you want to send the email to and then click the Send Email button.  This will open the normal Send Email modal where you can select a template and send the same email to all the users you have selected.
  • To set up the templates create a new node in the CMS called Campaign Emails under the existing Email Settings node.  This node should be document type "Email Campaign Settings"  You can then create folders and templates under this node.
  • A number of tokens can be included in the email templates including Name, title, firstName, lastName, Email, Telephone, Mobile, ContactAddress1, ContactAddress2, ContactCity, ContactCounty, ContactCountry, ContactPostcode and date

Rentals United

  • It's now possible to disable sending details of discounts to Rentals United. When editing the connection details for Rentals United on the Connections tab on the Channel Manager page there is a new switch called Sync Discounts.  When this is turned off discounts will not be sent to RU when performing a rates sync and any existing discounts previously sent to RU will be removed [6041]

Statements

  • Three new tokens are available that can be used in management email templates used for sending statements to owners.  {propertyName} will contain all the properties that are included on the statement (comma separated if there is more than one property), {statementDate} will be the date range that the statement covers and {amountPayable} is the amount due to the owner.  These tokens can be used in both the subject line and the body of the email.   • The Financial Statement Configurationtab in Company Setting conatins a new option for a BCC email address for statements.  If an address is entered it will be BCC'd on all statement emails.  Multiple comma seperated addresses can be entered if needed [5551]

Bugs Fixed

  • Leaving a booking always gives a warning about unsaved changes even when there aren't any [5086]
