Bookings


Feature Update [6809]:


For bookings with a security deposit, it is now no longer possible to edit the security deposit amount once it has been paid. This enhancement ensures accuracy and integrity in financial records, preventing potential discrepancies after a deposit is processed.



iPRO Channel Manager


Property Page URL Integration [6888]


The URL of the property page is now included in data sent to the channel manager. This enhancement allows bookings originating from Google to redirect visitors directly to your site, improving user experience and encouraging direct bookings.


Rentals United Guest Communications [6733]


Guest communication features have been improved for Rentals United, providing a more seamless and integrated experience when managing messages and notifications for your bookings.


Channel Manager Warnings [6866]


We’ve introduced two critical updates to improve issue detection and resolution:

  1. Booking Alert Emails

    • If a booking cannot be inserted into iPRO for any reason, you will now receive an email alert with details of the issue.
    • Take immediate action to resolve the issue. If you're unsure of the cause, contact support and provide them with the details in the email for faster assistance.
  2. Availability Sync Warnings

    • If there is an issue syncing property availability with the channel manager, a prominent warning will now appear at the top of the dashboard.
    • To address this, visit the Channel Manager page in iPRO to identify any properties with sync errors and resolve them.
    • Important: Sync errors may indicate missed bookings, which could lead to double bookings, so prompt resolution is essential.

These updates improve reliability and provide better visibility into channel management operations.



3rd Party Integrations

Cover Genius (Booking Protect) [6802]


We’ve integrated Cover Genius with iPRO to offer Booking Protect, providing guests the option to secure payment protection during checkout.

  • This feature is automatically displayed on eligible bookings.
  • Guests can opt-in for added peace of mind against unexpected cancellations.
  • Booking Protect is available for bookings where the total accommodation cost is less than £2,500 per person.


Operto Integration [6816]

The iPRO platform now integrates with Operto, enabling seamless smart home and property management solutions.

  • Operto integration enhances operational efficiency by automating tasks like guest access, energy management, and smart device monitoring.
  • This partnership simplifies the management of connected properties, reducing workload and improving guest experiences.

These integrations expand iPRO’s capabilities, helping clients streamline operations and provide enhanced services to guests.





Rates & Discounts [6812, 6890, 6889]


Discount Functionality Simplification [6812, 6889]


We’ve simplified the discount functionality to streamline operations and align with sales channel requirements.

Key Changes:

  1. Discounted Weekly or Nightly Rates:

    • Entering discounted weekly or nightly rates is no longer supported.
  2. Weekly and Nightly Rates:

    • Rates must now be entered as either weekly, nightly, or nightly length of stay.
    • Combining weekly and nightly rates in a single season is no longer permitted. (Existing seasons that combine both will remain unaffected.)
  3. Small Party Discounts:

    • This feature has been retired.
  4. Special Offers:

    • Length of stay discounts can now only be entered as a percentage (whole numbers only).
  5. Early Bird and Last-Minute Discounts:

    • The Minimum Stay, Date From, and Date To options are no longer available.
    • Existing discounts with these options will continue to function, but these parameters cannot be applied to new discounts.
      (Example: If you already have an Early Bird discount with a date range, it will still work, but date ranges cannot be added to new Early Bird discounts.)


Short Break Supplements [6890]

Managing Short Break Supplements is now more intuitive:

  • You can specify the Short Break Supplement rule for a property directly in the Property Rates modal.
  • A summary of the selected rule is displayed when editing seasons, providing quick insight into how the rule is applied.
  • This eliminates the need to navigate to the CMS property settings to check or adjust the Short Break Supplement, streamlining rate management.

These updates simplify rate and discount management while improving usability and compliance with sales channel capabilities.




Payments


Stripe Payment Capture Improvements [6815]


We’ve enhanced the process of capturing Stripe payments to ensure greater reliability and automation.

Key Updates:

  • Payments are typically placed on hold and captured automatically after 24 hours.
  • If the capture fails (e.g., due to incomplete payment processing, or the payment being already captured or released in Stripe), the payment status in iPRO will now update automatically upon the next capture attempt.

This improvement reduces manual intervention and ensures that payment statuses remain accurate.


Opayo API Update [6796]

The integration with Opayo has been updated to support the latest version of their API.

  • This update ensures compatibility with Opayo's current system, improving performance and security for payment processing.

These updates enhance the reliability and efficiency of payment handling in iPRO.



Bugs Fixed


Bills and Tasks API Tax Value [6832]

  • Resolved an issue where the Bills and Tasks API incorrectly returned a value for tax even when no tax was applied.

Offline Compensation Warning [6817]

  • Fixed a bug that caused a warning to appear when saving a booking with offline compensation.

PaymentReceived Email Token [6826]

  • Corrected an issue where the paymentReceived email token occasionally included incomplete or unexpected data.

Archived Guest Contact Records [6924]

  • Addressed a problem where new contact records for guests created during back-office bookings were automatically marked as archived.

Removing Alternate Email Address [6912]

  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to remove the Email (alt 1) field from a contact record.



These fixes improve the stability and accuracy of iPRO, ensuring smoother workflows and better data integrity.
